Get the ground right by testing for a short or very low ohms between ct and common point as above. They may double up the din pins I.e pins 1&2= 11.5v, 3&4 = ct etc. Should be easy to figure out from inside too as the centre tap of the transformer will go to ground ( 0vdc, common, ground or sleeve if any jack socket) the other two wires connect to the rectifier circuit and can be either way around since it's AC. The multi- pin din plug will simply be something like (pin 1= 11.5, pin3=ct or 0v, pin 5 = 11.5) Manufacturers love to use odd values like 11.5v so people think that it won't work unless you have exactly 11.5v x2, in other words, their supply.
